Julia graduated with a J.D. from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in 2014. Before that, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the U of A in 2010. Julia participated in many volunteer and clinical activities while in law school, including working with Southern Arizona Legal Aid, the Child and Family Advocacy Clinic, and the Veterans Advocacy Law Clinic.
After law school, Julia clerked for the Juvenile Court Presiding Judge, the Honorable Kathleen Quigley. In 2015, Julia opened her own practice as a contract attorney at Juvenile Court and has been a small business owner in the Tucson community ever since.
Julia handles a variety of Family Law matters including custody, divorce, child support, and post-decree modification. But Julia has a passion for Juvenile work, an area of law where few Tucson attorneys have real experience and knowledge. In Juvenile Court, Julia handles a variety of issues including Dependency cases, where she represents parents and occasionally children involved with the Department of Child Safety; termination of parental rights (Severance) as Counsel for both Petitioner and Defense; adoptions; and guardianships.
Julia also works as a Guardian Ad Litem or Best Interest Attorney on Juvenile cases, Family Law matters, and Criminal cases through the Pima County Courts. Julia also handles guardianship cases in front of the Probate Court.
Whether in Family Court, Juvenile, or Probate Court, Julia loves to help parents, children, and extended families through the most difficult times in their lives. Whatever you or your family needs, Julia is prepared to help.
